Chief Financial Officer – Social Housing

We are working exclusively with national social housing provider who are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days a week), based in Blackburn.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure long-term financial sustainability of the organisation. This individual will oversee all aspects of financial management, supporting the organisation in delivering its social purpose and strategic objectives.

As well as strategic leadership and financial management, you will also be responsible for governance and compliance, treasury and asset management, risk management and team management.

Key Chief Financial Officer requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).

  • Senior financial leadership experience is essential.

  • Experience working within a housing association, charity, CIC, public sector, or regulated environment is essential.

  • Experience of strategic financial planning and business modelling.

  • Experience preparing statutory accounts and managing audits.

  • Experience of governance and reporting to board or trustees and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in developing and managing budgets in complex organisations.

  • Experience implementing and maintaining strong financial controls.

  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking.

  • Excellent financial analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building abilities.

Office is based in Blackburn.

A competitive salary will be based on the individual and pro rata to 3 days a week.
