A boutique Real Estate Advisory firm are seeking a Client Accountant to join their Property Accounts team, based in central London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with the Head of Client Accounts in a commercial role.
Key responsibilities include:
Bank reconciliations, opening and closing bank accounts, client reporting and rent payovers, VAT reporting and reconciliations.
Updating their property accounting system (property set up, leases, renewals, charge raising, issuing tenant invoices/applications and tax receipts and raising management fees).
Tenant reconciliations and recharges (assist with credit control).
Upload budgets and updating tenant on accounts.
Provide information for client year end accounts.
Post tenant receipts and dealing with tenant queries.
Set up new suppliers, reconcile supplier accounts and assist with payment runs.
Client Accountant requirements:
Previous experience working within a commercial client or property accountant role is essential.
Experience using TRAMPS is essential (courses and training will be provided).
Ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
Service Charge reconciliation experience ideal (as well as with Service Charge cash reconciliations and handovers), however training and development will be provided.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Salary is £35,000 - £45,000 plus benefits. Office based in Central London (3 days a week in the office, 2 WFH).

Senior Client Accountant

We are working on behalf of a boutique, market leading Property Asset Management organisation who are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Client Accountant to join a robust and well-established team in their London office, working closely with the Head of Accounts.
Key responsibilities:
Having ownership of your own portfolio, you will need to prepare and reconcile annual Service Charges (which includes cash reconciliations).
Produce both monthly and quarterly client reporting packs (on occasions bespoke reporting) and conduct data analysis on forecasted budgets against actual expenditures.
This role requires a good understanding of RICS regulations, CIS, VAT & NRL requirements.
You will be responsible for preparing any pay-over reports as required and responsible for any transferring on funds to clients in your portfolio.
This role requires someone with management experience as you will need to oversee the team on occasions.
Key person specification:
It’s imperative you have good working knowledge of Qube Horizon property accounting system and have a good level of experience on Excel (for reporting purposes).
You will also be involved in technical / system projects on an ad-hoc basis, so any experience working on system specific projects is highly advantageous.
Good knowledge of double-entry accounting, service charge reconciliations and VAT returns.
Ideally you will hold a formal accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
This role requires somebody who has a sound understanding of a property lease and how to read / amend records relating to them.
This role is full time in the London office, 5 days per week, salary £55,000 - £65,000 plus discretionary bonus & benefits.
